The Milwaukee Brewers offense has been excellent at putting runners in scoring position this year. Early on in the season they capitalized in these situations more often than not, but lately they have struggled. This is especially true for one of their sluggers who recently collected their first hit with a runner in scoring position in nearly six weeks.
Across Major League Baseball the Milwaukee Brewers have the most at-bats with runners in scoring position.

Per Baseball Reference the Milwaukee Brewers have had the most at-bats with runners in scoring position this year. Their 692 at-bats are nine more than the second place Los Angeles Dodgers and 18 more than the third place Arizona Diamondbacks. Overall the Brew Crew have a .266 batting average with runners in scoring position and that is good enough for ninth best in the league.
One Milwaukee Brewers player is in a major slump at the plate.

Off-season addition Rhys Hoskins is currently in a big slump at the plate. Since June 5 (12 games) he is slashing .143/.213/.191. The date of June 5 marks Hoskins’ fifth game back from a hamstring injury that did cost him a few weeks worth of time.
Against the San Diego Padres Rhys Hoskins collected his first hit with a runner in scoring position in nearly six weeks.

Per Dominic Cotroneo when looking back further at Hoskins numbers prior to Thursday night’s game against the San Diego Padres his last hit with a runner in scoring position came on May 11 against the St. Louis Cardinals. Hoskins ninth inning double to tie the game finally put that streak to an end.
Damn, Rhys is in his coldest stretch of the year. He grounds into an inning ending double play with the bases loaded.
His last hit with a RISP was the clutch go-ahead homer against St. Louis on May 11th.

Even though the Brewers lost the series opener against the Padres hopefully this hit will help break Hoskins out of his slump.
