The Milwaukee Brewers have dealt with numerous injuries to their pitching staff this season. Brandon Woodruff, Wade Miley, and Robert Gasser all will not return this year. Abner Uribe is undergoing knee surgery and his time table has not yet been announced. However, players like Devin Williams, DL Hall, Taylor Clarke, and Jakob Junis are all expected back and one of them reportedly will be active for Friday night’s game against the San Diego Padres.
One Milwaukee Brewers pitcher expected to be activated prior to Friday night’s game against the San Diego Padres.

Per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com the Brewers are expected to activate right-handed pitcher Jakob Junis on Friday. He made one start for Milwaukee this year before landing on the injured list. McCalvy mentioned that he is expected to initially serve in a relief role.
Jakob Junis is back with the Brewers and expects to be active in the bullpen on Friday night. His last two sim games in Arizona were great, he says, and he is on board with coming back as a reliever if that is indeed the Brewers’ plan for him.

Jakob Junis threw some simulated games in Arizona due to decreased velocity.

As mentioned by Adam McCalvy is the fact that Jakob Junis had thrown some simulated games in Arizona. He was sent out west due to the organization noting a dip in his velocity during a Triple-A rehab game. It sounds like he is back on track and ready to contribute to the big league club.
The Milwaukee Brewers spent a fair amount of money on Jakob Junis during the off-season.

During the off-season the Brewers signed Jakob Junis to a one year deal with a mutual option on a second year. His 2024 base salary is $4.00 million but there is a three million buyout attached to the 2025 season. This guaranteed him at least $7.00 million from the Brewers.
