The Wisconsin football staff recently hosted a top in-state recruit in the 2027 class during the blowout win over Purdue.
Isaac Miller, a 6-foot-5-inch defensive lineman for Catholic Memorial, is considered to be one of the top recruits in the 2027 class in Wisconsin. While the recruiting process has been slow for Miller, the Wisconsin football staff has begun to show some interest in the athlete.
Miller stated, “I’ve talked to some recruiters and coaches but nothing to where they really want me and are going to offer me.” However, following his recent visit, the staff might begin to attempt to develop a relationship with the talented recruit. Miller is just starting to become exposed to the recruiting process, and his name will likely become fairly common in a short period of time.
Miller enjoyed his time watching the Wisconsin football team during the big win over the Purdue Boilermakers this past weekend. Following the visit and the excitement, Miller was asked whether or not he would be looking to visit more schools this season for games. Miller answered, stating, “I’m hoping to go to Minnesota for a game day and schools around Wisconsin to grab more exposure and have more people see my name.”
Had a fun time in Madison today. It was great to see @BadgerFootball come out with a W vs Purdue! Thank you to the coaching staff for this awesome experience! @RoseBrandon_ @_maximus347 @CoachWhit_UW @WisFBRecruiting @EwaldTaylor @PrepRedzoneWI @RyanBartow #OnWisconsin pic.twitter.com/Wi2ZCIf0SM

While the talented defensive lineman wants to visit more local schools, he acknowledged that he has not booked any other visits yet.
One surprising school that has made the list for Miller is the Utah Utes, who hold a special connection with the recruit. The father of Miller was previously a member of the Utes, and Miller holds a relationship with the current head coach of the team. Utah is a school the recruit would love to visit, and likely will once he has the time in his schedule.
Wisconsin Football Staff, Team Impress Big Defensive Lineman Isaac Miller
After the game-day visit for Miller, the Wisconsin football staff may look to invite the recruit back to campus in the near future.
The Wisconsin football staff has not had the greatest of luck recruiting the state of Wisconsin over the past few seasons. However, the staff is working hard to ensure they land the players they feel are the most talented in the state in each recruiting class.
Miller is largely believed to be not only one of the top defenders in Wisconsin, but also one of the top recruits in the state in general. Catholic Memorial has been a powerhouse in terms of producing top football talent in the state of Wisconsin in recent years. Miller has the potential to be the next player to come out of the school on top.
The 230-pound defender also has experience on the other side of the ball, playing tight end at times for his team. Miller has displayed savvy route running as well as impressive hands, which opens the opportunity for the recruit to potential play multiple positions at the next level. For the time being, however, the focus has been on becoming the best all-around football player the recruit can become.
