Wisconsin football did not exactly have a great 2024 regular season, but that doesn’t mean they can’t find things to make them happy. Take for example Badger quarterback Braedyn Locke, who just celebrated his 21st birthday last Sunday. Born in Rockwall Texas, Locke was also greeted on social media by his girlfriend, Francesca Martin.

Braedyn Locke and girlfriend Francesca Martin go way back
Locke and Martin have known each other since he was just 12 years old. They even attended Mississippi State together where Locke initially committed to play football before transferring to Wisconsin.
“She helps me in so many ways just to be away from the game and not always have to be stressed and anxious about it,” Locke said about Martin during an interview last October, via Badger Extra. “She’s extremely unselfish. I know that she has to take a backseat a lot of times to my life and she does it. She’s such a huge person for me, she’s extremely special.”
In his second year with Wisconsin football, Locke amassed 1,936 passing yards and 13 touchdowns against 10 interceptions on a 55.4 percent completion rate. Expect him to be back under center for the Badgers in 2025, as he has already squashed transfer portal rumors recently.
Before enrolling at Mississippi State and transferring to Wisconsin, Locke had gotten offers from the likes of the Gorge Tech Yellow Jackets, Kansas Jayhawks, North Carolina Tar Heels and Arkansas Razorbacks to name some.
