The Wisconsin football staff has landed another massive commitment in the 2024 class with a new four-star edge rusher.

Anelu Lafaele, a four-star edge rusher from Hawaii, has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers after much consideration. The Badgers had been in the lead for the recruit for quite sometime despite a tough battle. Lafaele committed to the Badgers over Hawaii, Arizona State, and Washington. Lafaele is one of the highest-rated players in the Badgers 2024 recruiting class now.

Wisconsin Football Lands Another Massive Defensive Recruit In Anelu Lafaele

The Wisconsin football staff had been working hard for several months to land the talented edge rusher. The four-star recruit Lafaele has been one of the biggest targets on the recruiting board for coach Luke Fickell and the Badgers. Lafaele visited Madison this past month for an official visit and loved the environment and staff he got to experience.

Lafaele comes in at 6-foot-3-inches, 215-pounds as an attacking edge rusher with elite speed. The four-star recruit can use power or speed moves to burst past the offensive blockers. Lafaele is a big, dynamic playmaker which truly fits the mold of players that coach Luke Fickell is looking for. Fickell has been eager to build at team of players that are tenacious and physical, which seems to play directly into this commitment.

The Honolulu native committed to the Badgers over his hometown schools and two other programs he had deep connections with. Both Arizona State and Washington have amazing connections to the island, but ultimately Madison, Wisconsin has become the next home for Lafaele.

With the commitment of Lafaele, the Wisconsin football staff should see their 2024 recruiting class rise in the rankings once again. A few weeks ago, fans and analysts alike were worried that the program would not recover from big misses and key de-commitments. However, the Badgers have bounced back by getting exactly the players they had been targeting.

The Wisconsin Badgers football program seems to be thriving in the recruiting world after landing one of their priority targets.
