Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Keontez Lewis has decided that he will be entering the transfer portal. He will still have two years of eligibility remaining once he transfers.

Keontez Lewis’ Time with the Wisconsin Badgers
This isn’t his first foray into the NCAA transfer portal, as the Badgers recruited Lewis out of the portal after starting his college career at UCLA. His 2022 season with the Wisconsin Badgers was by all accounts a success for the Wide Receiver, as he played in all 13 games and ranked third on the team with 20 catches with 313 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
He played in the first game against Buffalo this season and had one catch for 12 yards. It is clear that the Wisconsin Badgers have decided to prioritize other receivers ahead of Lewis, especially given that he wasn’t used in the game against Washington State last week. Luke Fickell and his staff seem to be leaning toward Chimere Dike, Bryson Greene, and CJ Williams as their receiving core. This likely was one of the major factors in Keontez Lewis’ decision to leave the Badgers and seek more playing time through the transfer portal, even if he’ll need a waiver from the NCAA to play next year as it’s his second time through the portal.
When he was recruited out of high school, Lewis was a three-star prospect in the 2020 class. In his final year of high school ball, he had 37 catches with 802 yards and 10 touchdowns.
