The Wisconsin Badgers finished with a 22-14 record during the season and will be a five-seed in the NCAA Tournament and face the 12-seed James Madison Dukes on Friday night in Brooklyn, New York. Wisconsin deserves to be in the NCAA Tournament and they are one of six teams in the BIG10 Conference who made the big dance this season.
Every year when the brackets are released, some teams are always on the field who don’t belong in the tournament and some teams missed the tournament who belong in the field. There was a lot of shock with the brackets when they were released on Sunday night.
The Wisconsin Badgers Fans And Other Fans Respond to Rival Michigan State Spartans Not Deserving To Be in the NCAA Tournament
Wisconsin is one of six teams in the conference that deserved to be in the big dance. The only team in this conference that didn’t deserve to be in the tournament was the Michigan State Spartans. They finished with a 19-13 record during the season and didn’t even have 20 wins this season. Michigan State only got into the tournament because of the brand and the name of head coach Tom Izzo.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs should easily beat them on Thursday. There were a few teams that deserved to be in the big dance over Michigan State. The Big East Conference got such a raw deal by the NCAA Tournament. The face that only the UCONN Huskies, the Creighton Blue Jays, and the Marquette Golden Eagles are the only ones in is such a joke.
Seton Hall had a 20-12 record and also beat UCONN and Marquette this season. St. John’s finished with a 20-13 record and Providence finished with a 21-13 record. Wisconsin Badgers fans, Big East fans, and all of the college basketball fans came to the defense of the Big East Conference on Sunday night. The Michigan State Spartans don’t feel like an NCAA Tournament team. They were Top 10 heading into the season but were not playing anything like one all season long.
If Michigan State loses to Mississippi State on Thursday afternoon, there will be a lot of fans who are saying that they didn’t belong in the NCAA Tournament in the first place. This is going to be a fun next few weeks.
