The white-hot month of June is coming to a close with a handful of big targets still on the board for Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting.
I’ll cover recruits that have announced their upcoming commitment dates, players who have been on campus, and offers that have been sent out.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Commits
Landyn Locke (Quarterback)
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting picked up their first commitment of the 2025 class last week. Landyn Locke is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback out of Rockwall, Texas. He also happens to be the brother of current Badgers backup quarterback Braedyn Locke. The 3-star signal caller had offers from Miami, Baylor, and TCU, among others. I’ll do a more thorough breakdown of him as a player in a separate article.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Commitment Announcement Dates
Lloyd Irvin III (Cornerback)
Lloyd Irvin III is a cornerback out of Maryland. He was recently in Madison and will announce his commitment on July 1. The class of 2024 looked to be full at cornerback after Jay Harper committed, but a spot opened up after Vernon Woodward de-committed. Although it’s never fun to see a player back off their commitment, bringing in a player like Irvin III would help ease the pain. Stayed tuned on him!
Koy Beasley (Safety)
Koy Beasley is a player I’ve covered in the past, but he announced he will be committing on June 28. The 4-star defensive back out of Ohio has been a big target for Wisconsin for some time, and it’ll be interesting to see if his commitment affects the Lloyd Irvin III decision or vice versa.
Wisconsin Badgers Football: Campus Visitors
Milos Spasojevic (Quarterback)
Milos Spasojevic is a quarterback out of Minnetonka, Minn. The soon-to-be senior stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds. The big-bodied signal-caller looks extremely comfortable on film. He throws with good anticipation and has a good overall arm. Spasojevic also moves very well for his size and looks extremely comfortable moving around in the pocket. Wisconsin has offered him a preferred walk-on spot as well.
Tariq Hayer (Athlete)
Tariq Hayer is a soon-to-be junior out of Washington, D.C. Hayer visited Madison unofficially and appeared to thoroughly enjoy his visit. The class of 2025 athlete is a sprinter on top of being a 4-star football player. He would be a huge addition to a program looking to become faster and more athletic overall.
Nino Hill (Running Back)
Nino Hill is a soon-to-be junior running back out of Ohio. He was in Madison last week to visit campus and for a Wisconsin Badgers FootbalL Recruiting camp. The 6-foot, 215-pound back will be a player to watch this upcoming season as he has the frame to put up gaudy numbers, which would sky-rocket his recruitment.
Tre Poteat (Athlete)
Tret Poteat is a local kid from Vernon, Wis. He was in town for a prospect camp and reportedly had some impressive plays. The 4-star plays cornerback and wide receiver currently but looked extremely comfortable at corner in camp.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Commitment Ranking Update
Ryan Cory (Offensive Line)
Offensive line commit Ryan Cory received a 4-star ranking by ESPN this week. He was listed as a 3-star by Rival, but it looks like he could end up far exceeding that ranking. I gave him some extremely high praise while breaking down his film, and it’s awesome to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves!
Wisconsin Badgers Football: Transfers
Markus Allen (Wide Receiver)
Wide receiver Markus Allen is on the move yet again after announcing his intentions to enter the transfer portal. This didn’t come as a complete shock to most, as we didn’t hear much about him during spring practices. It appeared as though he had been buried on the depth chart. After coming in as a highly touted recruit under Chryst, it’s unfortunate to see him go, but we wish him the best of luck moving forward.
