The Wisconsin Badgers are getting ready for the 2024-2025 college basketball season. Wisconsin did not have a quite offseason by any means.
Camren Hunter, is a transfer from Central Arkansas, who is looking to perform well during the 2024-2025 season for the Badgers. He is one of a few transfers on the roster who are looking to make an impact.
Wisconsin Badgers Camren Hunter Cleared For All Basketball Activities
According to Wisconsin Badgers head coach Greg Gard, Camren Hunter is cleared for all basketball activities ahead of the 2024-2025 season. He missed the entire 2023-2024 season with a foot injury. Hunter last played in the 2022-2023 season.
In 30 games played, he averaged 16.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.9 APG, 0.6 BPG, and 1.5 SPG. Camren Hunter shot 42.3% from the field, 31.1% from three-point land, and 78.6% from the free throw line. He could play a very big role for the Badgers this season.
Coaching Staff Praises Him
Along with Greg Gard, assistant head coach Joe Krabbenhoft spoke very highly of Camren Hunter to Dillon Graff of Athlon Sports. Krabbenhoft said:
“The first thing that pops out is his physical ability to play in this league and play in the Big 10; there’s no doubt he’s ready to do that.”
Hunter will be one of the starters for the Badgers this season. Steven Crowl, Nolan Winters, and Max Klesmit will be some of the other starters on the Badgers. It is unknown who will be the starting point guard for Wisconsin this season. Camren Hunter is looking to fill some scoring voids that left the Badgers.
