The festive holiday mood of Milwaukee Bucks fans everywhere was smeared by some truly disheartening news after it was reported that former team owner Herb Kohl had passed away on December 27. Tributes immediately started coming in from all directions, which also included a heartwarming eulogy from United States President Joe Biden for the former senator from Wisconsin.
For their part, the Bucks had their first chance to honor Kohl on Monday night ahead of their home game against the Indiana Pacers.
Milwaukee Bucks Honor Herb Kohl
Wednesday’s contest against the Indiana Pacers was the first time the Bucks were playing at the Fiserv Forum since Kohl’s death. As a sign of their utmost respect and admiration for their former leader, the Bucks honored Kohl with a moment of silence before tip-off.

This was an endearing gesture from the Bucks organization as well as the fans as they paid tribute to the late, great Herb Kohl.
One of, if not the most significant part of his tenure as the team owner was making sure that the Bucks remained in Milwaukee. This also included Kohl making a sizeable $100 million donation toward the construction of the Fiserv Forum shortly after he had sold his stake of the team.
Herb Kohl was the perfect embodiment of genuine generosity and unbridled passion for his Bucks. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of minds of Milwaukee supporters everywhere.
