After a solid season with Sussex Hamilton High School, a talented tight end named Dane Warren may finally put himself onto the recruiting map.
Dane Warren, a 2028 class recruit, is an exceptional tight end who has carved out a spot in the lineup for himself with Sussex Hamilton. Warren, who was the second tight end on the depth chart this season, played nearly every offensive snap and provided excellent help while doing so. The tight end now hopes to turn his on-field success into off-field offers from top colleges looking for offensive talent.
On the field, Warren is a dynamic tight end that can not only hurt the opposing defense down the field, but also with his strength. As a blocker, Warren does not shy away and enjoys when he receives the opportunity to drop an opposing player onto his back. The ability and willingness of Warren to play physical football is perhaps the biggest key to the player reaching the collegiate level as it is arguably his best strength.
When asked about what the recruit feels sets himself apart, Warren stated, “what sets me apart from other recruits is my relentlessness on the field and my effort.” The recruit also added, “Effort is the main reason I am able to see the field so much as a younger player.”
The tight end has opened eyes and already received plenty of playing time, but has yet to follow blossom on offense for the team. Warren stated he felt he “handled the jump from middle school to varsity well” but also admitted it was an adjustment. With another season under his belt, Warren could seriously become one of the top offensive players in the state of Wisconsin.
What Really Sets Dane Warren Apart From Other Talented Tight End Recruits?
While Dane Warren may not have the collegiate attention he is truly looking for yet, the talented tight end can certainly develop into a player that colleges will fight over.
The big blocking-oriented tight end comes in at 6-feet-2-inches, and 190-pounds with quite the punch in his blocks. Warren is not just a run of the mill tight end, but rather someone who can truly accomplish a lot for an offense when fully unleashed.
The best comparison for Warren as a player would be current Wisconsin Badgers tight end Tucker Ashcraft. The big athlete does a little bit of everything for Wisconsin, but more importantly does the things that are not so pretty really well. Ashcraft blocks well, plays with intensity, and consistently puts 100% into every play which are all things that cannot be quantified in a statistics sheet.
Warren is truly the same player, and with the right time, patience, and development, the tight end will be accomplishing similar things at the collegiate level.
