Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Sean Clifford was a hot topic on social media following the team’s loss to the Denver Broncos. The Packers offense was shut out in the first half to a Broncos defense that came into the contest ranked with the worst defense in the league.
Quarterback Jordan Love finished the game 21/31 passing for 180 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. His lone interception iced the Broncos’ second win of the season.
Clifford was trending on X for two reasons. The first was due to Love and the offense’s performance. Some fans would like to see Clifford get more playing time. That seems premature at this point, especially given the fact Love is working with young offensive weapons.
However, some fans are agitated with a 2-4 start to the season. And quite honestly, Love and the Packers, coming off their Bye Week, needed to play better against a terrible defense.
The second reason Clifford is trending is due to his interaction with Broncos safety Kareem Jackson. Jackson was ejected after an illegal hit to Luke Musgrave that knocked the rookie tight end from the game. Clifford called Jackson a “bitch.”
Yoooo Sean Clifford just called Kareem Jackson a bitch after that hit on Musgrave 😂 pic.twitter.com/ftNGBRlAUW

When will it be time to see what Sean Clifford can do? Love hasn't been looking good, playcallers have no confidence in Love's ability to throw downfield. #Packers #gopackgo #SeanClifford
