Despite a double-digit loss, the Packers had a lot of positives to take away from this loss. PFF graded a few of the Packers’ offensive players very highly. The offense, especially Aaron Rodgers, and the run game looked the best it has all year. They put up 17 points, and while that may not seem like a lot, the Bills’ most points allowed all year was 21.
The Packers’ offense also had a TD taken away due to a questionable OPI penalty against Robert Tonyan (*insert link to play*). LaFleur decided to go for it on 4th and short instead of kicking a field goal, which took 3 points off the board. The Packers totaled more offensive yards than the Bills, but they failed to capitalize on their drives. In fact, the Packers put up the most yards the Bills have allowed all season.
Aaron Rodgers – 89.2 PFF grade
Rodgers started the game very rough, having only one attempt beyond 5 yards at the end of the first quarter. His completions averaged -1.0 air yards per attempt up to that point in the game.
Aaron Rodgers deep shot to Romeo Doubs is his only pass attempt beyond 5 yards so far tonight. His completions are averaging -1.0 air yards per attempt, according to @ESPNStatsInfo. That's right, minus-1 air yard.

Rodgers responded to this poor first quarter with three scoring drives (four drives within scoring range, but Mason Crosby missed a 55-yard field goal). Rodgers ended up finishing the game with four big-time throws, three of which were at least 20+ yards (one for a TD to Samori Toure).
Despite having an interception, Rodgers did not have a turnover-worthy play. His one interception was tipped at the line.
David Bakhtiari – 88.8 PFF grade
He’s back. David Bakhtiari has retaken his seat as one of the top Offensive Tackles in the league. This is his second week of being the top pass blocker and run blocker among offensive linemen for the Packers. Bakhtiari didn’t allow a single pressure on 34 pass-blocking snaps. Over Bakhtiari’s last two games, he has given up one pressure over 79 pass-blocking snaps.
Giving Rodgers a clean pocket is imperative to the Packers’ success, as he averaged 7.5 yards per attempt and 72% of his passes from a clean pocket. Bakhtiari becoming his old self is a massive step in the right direction to righting this offense.
Aaron Jones – 85.1 PFF grade
I think it’s safe to say that the offense runs through Aaron Jones. This was the first tie the Packers have lost a game where Aaron Jones had 20+ touches. The offense is the best when they let Aaron Jones establish the run and play off it with play-action passes. Against the league’s best-run defense, Jones tallied 143 rushing yards on over 7 yards a carry. He also forced 13 missed tackles, which is a new career-high.
Before this game, the Bills were allowing 3.5 yards per attempt. After his dominating performance (along with the help of AJ Dillon), the Bills fell from allowing 3.5 yards per attempt to 4.1 yards per attempt.
The fact of the matter is, if Aaron Jones is given his touches, the Packers’ offense should thrive.
Zach Tom 73.2 PFF grade
Zach Tom could be the latest Day 3 Packers offensive lineman picked to become a starter. After being asked to fill in for David Bakhtiari last week, Tom was again tasked with filling in for one of the Packers’ best linemen. Tom was graded at a 66.1 PFF grade against the Commanders in his first start, which was first among the line. Tom finished in the top 5 offensive PFF grades in two back-to-back weeks.
He started rough on the Packers’ first drive and allowed two pressures throughout the game. PFF also grade Tom as a solid run blocker with a grade of 73.9, the highest of his career. Tom is primarily more of a tackle, so we could see him move to RT when Jenkins comes back. Especially after Yosh Nijman’s poor performance against the Bills (52.3 PFF grade – 3rd worst PFF grade on offense).
Romeo Doubs 72.7 PFF grade
With the absence of both Lazard and Cobb, all eyes turned to Doubs to perform. He did not disappoint. Doubs finished the game with 4 catches for 62 yards and 1 TD, along with two contested (one of which was the TD). Slowly, Doubs is becoming Rodgers’ most trusted receiver outside of Lazard.
It was a great sign to see Rodgers target Doubs 7 times (he led the team), even after Doubs’ poor performance against the Commanders. Doubs looks to be a more significant part of the offense moving forward.
