The Packers lost a top defender Sunday
The Green Bay Packers suffered a lot of injuries against the Detroit Lions Sunday. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs, Offensive linemen Jon Runyan Jr, and cornerback Eric Stokes were all injured in the first half of Week 9. Wide receiver Christian Watson was being evaluated for his second concussion in two weeks. Those injuries didn’t help the Packers, as they trailed the Lions 8-0 in the third quarter. Another Packers top defender would be hurt on the day.
The Packers’ best pass rusher, Rashan Gary, left the game with a knee injury. He was questionable to return against the Lions.

Gary has six sacks this season for the Packers. The team was relying on him to get a good pass rush against an explosive Lions offense. The Packers’ defense had been able to keep the score down in the first half. However, the unit is being asked to do a lot, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers has three interceptions on the day.
