The Packers’ special teams was a historically bad unit in 2021. It can even be argued that they are the biggest reason the season ended how it did. However, Matt LaFleur is making another change at the coordinator position. The Packers fired Maurice Drayton and have yet to replace him. However, it’s being reported that the team is in talks with Rich Bisaccia to fill the role.
#Packers coach Matt LaFleur has been in talks with Las Vegas Raiders special teams coach / interim coach Rich Bisaccia bout becoming the #Packers' special teams coach, according to two sources. Packers will have to pay a lot to get him and they may be willing to do it.

How Rich Bisaccia would Change the Packers
Bisaccia was the special teams coordinator in Las Vegas for three seasons before filling in as the interim head coach after Jon Gruden’s departure. As the head coach, Bisaccia led the Raiders to the playoffs despite many off the field problems on the team. However, when you pair his display of leadership with special teams experience the Packers could be looking at the real deal.
Matt LaFleur is looking to improve the unit in a hurry. Rich Bisaccia also has ties with Packers defensive coordinator, Joe Barry, which could play into his decision.
One thing the #Packers have going for them in the pursuit of Rich Bisaccia as ST coach is that Bisaccia is very tight with defensive coordinator Joe Barry, a source said. They worked together in TB and Barry is Rod Marinelli's son-in-law. Marinelli and Bisaccia are best friends.
