Green Bay Packers fans have seen this plenty of times: A Mike McCarthy-led team losing early in the playoffs.
The Dallas Cowboys have now seen this happen two years in a row, and both times at the expense of the San Francisco 49ers. In the Divisional Round game on Sunday, the 49ers edged the Cowboys, 19-12, and Mike McCarthy once again was at the center of the discussion.
The game was rough from start to finish for the Cowboys’ offense, and the final play was one of the most bizarre plays we have ever seen on a football field.

Who knows what was going on there, but it ended the Cowboys’ season and sent them home earlier than many expected.
After the loss, Packers fans wasted no time ripping McCarthy apart for yet another early playoff exit.

It was a familiar sight for Packers fans everywhere, and the 49ers are moving on while the Cowboys enter the offseason with question marks once again.
McCarthy moves to 1-2 in the postseason during his time in Dallas, and the second time in a row that the 49ers ended his season.
There is a chance that McCarthy is fired as the head coach — even more so with Sean Payton hanging around and looking for a job.
However, Jerry Jones stated after the loss that McCarthy’s job is safe, although you never know with the way Jerry Jones operates.
Another year and another Mike McCarthy loss in the playoffs due to poor clock management and underperforming. This is nothing new for Packers fans.
