The Green Bay Packers are on the brink of clinching a playoff berth. The New Orleans Saints are the only thing that stands in the way at the moment. Green Bay will host New Orleans on a cold night in Lambeau Field.
As it turns out, one reinforcement is on the way.
“They Did?!” Packers Fans Erupt Over Last Minute Addition For Jordan Love Vs. Saints (Report)
Luke Musgrave, a second-year tight end, is set to return to the Packers’ lineup tonight. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Green Bay will activate Musgrave from injured reserve ahead of its Week 16 game:
Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Green Bay is activating Luke Musgrave from injured reserve, and the second-year tight end will play against the Saints.
“The Packers are activating TE Luke Musgrave from injured reserve and he’ll play tonight against the Saints, per source,” Pelissero posted on X. “A remarkable return for Musgrave, who had ankle surgery in October and hasn’t played since Week 3. They’ll ease him in.”
Green Bay will have another option at the skill positions upon Musgrave’s return.
A significant aspect of the Packers’ success on offense has been the development of recent draft picks in that group.
Musgrave had 34 receptions for 352 yards and one touchdown as a rookie. He had another score in the team’s postseason run.
However, he only played in four games in 2024, and his offensive snap share dropped from 66% to 39%. As a result, production dropped.
It will be interesting to see how they work him back in the roster. Fans are certainly excited to see him back:
they don’t need them they’re winning by 50

Honestly a Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave combo could be a JV version of Gronk and Hernandez

Tucker Kraft already doesn’t get enough targets I’m sure this will help
