Packers Aaron Rodgers has cemented his place in NFL history as one of the best quarterbacks of all time, as he has won four NFL MVP Awards. Over the past couple of seasons, Rodgers has made waves in the headlines and among fans with his openness about using wholistic medicine and natural substances as part of his medical and workout routines. In a groundbreaking tell-all interview with Health and Lifestyle podcast host Audrey Marcus, Rodgers detailed how these practices, particularly the use of psychedelic substances, have helped him become a better person and football player.
Aaron Rodgers Traveled to Greece to Partake in Ancient Greek Medical Practices
Packers Aaron Rodgers traveled to Greece to visit ancient ruins and participate in ancient Greek medical practices. These included going down into the catacombs, taking psychedelic substances, and learning from the spirits. Rodgers described this experience as life-changing and one that he is grateful to have had.
The Best Day of His Life
Aaron Rodgers’ best day of his life was the time he took shrooms on the beach with his friends. He told Aubrey that he felt himself “merge with the ocean.” This experience happened when he was young. While he enjoyed it, he was skeptical about trying psychedelics again. It was not until one of his closest friends, who he named Jordan, returned from Peru that he decided to try it again.
The Journey to Peru
Packers Aaron Rodgers then went to Peru and climbed Machu Picchu. One may remember that Rodgers barely made it back to the U.S. before the borders closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During his experience in Peru, he learned lessons that “came down from the grandmother spirit of the vine.” Rodgers continued:
“I came back and knew that I was never going to be the same. It gave me a deep and meaningful appreciation for life. My intention for going in was that I wanted to see what pure love feels like. And I did. I had a magical experience with the sensation of feeling 100 different hands on by body and imparting a blessing of love and forgiveness for myself and gratitude for this life from what seemed to be my ancestors… I really felt like that set me on my course to be able to go back into my job and have a different perspective on things, and to be a lot more free at work as a leader, as a teammate, as a friend, as a lover. And I really feel like that experience paved the way to have the best season of my career.”
Packers Aaron Rodgers: A Conclusion
Aaron Rodgers’s journeys during the past three years are certainly not typical for mainstream society. However, can we really question them after seeing how dominant he has been on the field? The fact of the matter is that he is free to be himself, believe what he wants to believe, and, most importantly, feel good about himself. That is where he is in life now. Thankfully, it also means Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP level again.
