The Green Bay Packers finalized their initial 53-man roster Tuesday. The cut-down each season is certainly intense. We see late-round picks and undrafted free agents make the team every year. This year was certainly no different, as all four of Green Bay’s seventh-round picks made the team. Among those was OL Rasheed Walker out of Penn State. Even as recent as February / March, some projected Walker as a second or third-round draft pick. Green Bay got him in the seventh, pick number 249. While there is no proof, this antic could have been one reason for his fall.

In a 35-19 loss to the Maryland Terrapins in 2020, Walker had a play go viral. After Rasheed Walker levels the defensive lineman, he appears to give him a few hip thrusts. Social media responded how you expected it would. From calling for Rasheed Walker to be suspended to calling him a first-round draft pick because of this. Many said the Maryland defender should have started a fight with Walker right then and there. Either way, this play leaves you scratching your head and hoping you never see this in the NFL. It surely wouldn’t end very well for the player or the Packers’ PR team.
