The New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers issued statements following their game being suspended Saturday night.
New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers release statement
Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden sustained an injury with just over ten minutes to play in the fourth quarter. Per Aaliyan Mohammed with WSH Media, trainers rushed onto the field to aid Bolden before he was carted off:
“Bolden was drafted in the seventh round out of Jackson State University by the Patriots. He was injured after running into his teammate as they tried to make a play on a ball intended for Packers wide receiver Malik Heath. Bolden went down and trainers rushed onto the field and play was stopped as they checked on him.
Several minutes passed and eventually, the backboard came out and he was carted off the field on his back. Players from both sides were seen taking a knee as they watched trainers look at Bolden.”
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick mutually agreed to suspend play after the injury Saturday night.
