A free agency target for the Green Bay Packers this offseason signed with an AFC contender Monday morning. The Packers have had a pedestrian-free agency since March, and the crickets continue to chirp here in June.

Leonard Floyd will keep the Bills’ defensive line strong

The Bills are keeping a fierce defensive line intact for the 2023 season after they signed Ed Oliver Saturday. The Packers had been linked to Floyd several times since the Los Angeles Rams cut him in March. Floyd would have boosted the Packers’ pass rush, and the former Chicago Bears edge was considered an excellent fit for Green Bay.
The Packers could use another pass rusher to join the defense this season. The pass rush was a concern last season after Rashan Gary suffered an ACL injury. Gary should be back for the start of the season. However, the Packers could use some rotational help behind Gary and Preston Smith as rookie Lukas Van Ness adjusts to the NFL in 2023.
