NFL News: Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been making headlines all offseason. From requesting a trade to the New York Jets, the prolonged negotiations, the actual trade, and his interactions with new teammates, there has been no shortage of stories involving the four-time NFL MVP.

One of these stories has been Rodgers’ comparing of 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year, and his current teammate, Garrett Wilson to All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams. While Rodgers was not saying that Wilson is as great as Adams, he did say that the way Wilson explodes off the line and runs his routes are similar to Adams.

    Packers News

Since training camp began for the Jets, there have been videos of Rodgers and Wilson connecting on several big plays. These have drawn reactions from fans and analysts alike, and one from Davante Adams himself.

Rodgers and Wilson were making the rounds on social media because of this throw and catch:

Adams responded to the video by posting on his Instagram story:

Apparently, Adams is very impressed with the connection that Rodgers and Wilson have during training camp.

Oh, and Rodgers isn’t the only former Packers player comparing Wilson to Adams. Allen Lazard recently told the media regarding Wilson:

“I see a lot of resemblance to Davante. To me, Davante is the best in the league, hands down. But there are a lot of things they do as far as mannerisms, personality, abilities that resemble each other.”

Only time will tell if the connection Rodgers and Wilson have this offseason will translate to the regular season. A lot can change when the pads finally come on.
