Running backs want to get paid a higher market value but the only way to do that is be Nick Chubb. Does this look like a guy who’s complaining about what he’s getting paid? No, because he’s the engine that drives the Cleveland offense.
Chubb has rushed for over 1,000 yards in the past four seasons and has been durable. Throughout his five-year career, he has only missed five games, total.
Why is this a big season for Nick Chubb and the Browns?

Workout videos aside, this is a big season for the Browns, and Chubb will need to have a big year for them to make the postseason. It’s not usually wise to rely heavily on a running back to take you to the promised land, but in Cleveland’s case, they don’t have any other options.
Cleveland doesn’t have skill-position players that will keep defensive coordinators up at night. Expect teams to pack the box against Chubb, and force uqarterback Deshaun Watson to move the ball down the field consistently.
Watson can do that; in his final season in Houston, he threw for 4,823 yards, 33 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. That was with a Texans team that had no cohesiveness offensively, and Watson dragged that team to four wins. But the question for Cleveland is: do they have a true number one wide receiver in that offense? Can Amari Cooper still perform to that level? He’s had bouts of inconsistency throughout his career, so can he help lead the Browns offense this season?
Watson can do it, and with Chubb continuing to be the bell cow of the offense, Cleveland will challenge the Bengals and Ravens for the AFC North crown and will be a dark-horse AFC contender this season.
