All eyes were on Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields as he took on the role of a Grand Marshall for the recently-concluded NASCAR race in Chicago. It was a momentous occasion for the city as it hosted its first-ever NASCAR street course race. Unfortunately for him, Fields made NFL news headlines for all the wrong reasons after his performance.
Justin Fields Called Out For Lackluster Hype Job At NASCAR Race In Chicago
NASCAR brought in Fields to hype up the crowd in attendance for what was a historic moment in the racing world. Well, let’s just say he wasn’t able to deliver as expected. See for yourself:

That probably wasn’t what the NASCAR officials were hoping for when they hired Fields for the job. You can hear from the reaction of the crowd — or rather, the apparent lack thereof — that Justin’s message didn’t do much to get their heart rates pumping. You could probably say the same for the drivers in the race.
Naturally, the mean streets of Twitter went all in on the Chicago quarterback as they let them know exactly how they feel about his performance:
Dude is high as a kite

Jesus with that energy, Bears 4-13 confirmed. 😂

Justin Fields needs to not quit his day job lol

That was THE WORST command I’ve ever heard from someone I’ve NEVER heard of! Do better @NASCAR

That was as week as his game!

As you may have noticed, that last tweet was from a Green Bay Packers fan. It isn’t at all surprising that the supporters of the Bears’ biggest rivals would jump on the opportunity to troll Chicago’s cornerstone quarterback. To be fair, you can’t really say that Justin didn’t deserve it.
Green Bay And Chicago Relive Rivalry In 2023

Obviously, Justin Fields is a much better QB than he is a Grand Marshall, and we should all get to see this once the new season starts — including the Packers fans who so ruthlessly clowned Fields for his NASCAR stint.
Chicago and Green Bay will once again provide us with at least two captivating matchups this coming season as they look to renew their age-old rivalry. Justin Fields and Co. get to host the Packers at Soldier Field on opening week as both teams look to start their respective campaigns on a high. Fittingly, these two sides go at it again at Lambeu Field for their last game of the regular season.
