Aaron Rodgers reportedly looked to have experienced pain during the New York Jets practice Tuesday. The 39-year-old quarterback missed practices during OTAs due to a minor calf strain.
Rodgers was able to return to practice some for the Jets this spring. But the team cut their mandatory minicamp schedule since they would practice a week earlier than other NFL teams for training camp due to their playing the Hall of Fame preseason game.
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets offense have a rough day
Rodgers had time to heal his right calf. However, according to Rich Cimini with ESPN, Rodgers appeared to have some sort of injury with his left calf. Rodgers threw an interception and grabbed his left calf. Rodgers limped after the play but stayed in as quarterback for the drive.
After releasing a pass (interception), Aaron Rodgers clutches his left calf. He’s limping around, but stays in for the next play. This was his “good” calf. Injured the right in OTAs. #Jets

Cimini reports Rodgers didn’t receive any immediate medical attention.
Rodgers must be OK because he’s not getting any medical attention. He’s jogging back on the field for another period. #Jets

Cimini Tweeted that Rodgers had a “rough day” at the Jets practice. At one point, Rodgers and the offense went seven straight passes without a completion.
#Jets practice notes:
* Rough day for Rodgers (8-for-20, 1 INT) and first-team offense. Pass pro was spotty. A couple of drops. Rodgers misfired at times. Appeared frustrated. Had 7 straight incompletions at one point. Hit Wilson for a TD in red zone. So there’s that. …cont

The Green Bay Packers need Rodgers healthy
Green Bay Packers fans should rest easy that Rodgers doesn’t appear to have a severe injury after limping around. As Mark Murphy repeated recently, the Packers need Rodgers to stay healthy until he plays in 65 percent of the Jets’ offensive sna so thatso Green Bay can receive New York’s 2024 first-round pick.
Rodgers’ rough day should be encouraging for Packers fans. The worse the Jets do in the record column, the better position the Packers will have in the 2024 NFL draft.
