Matt Schneidman of The Athletic appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday and shared his thoughts on what he has seen from the Green Bay Packers’ new starting quarterback. Jordan Love made his preseason debut on Friday and his performance has sparked discussion in the football world. He impressed the Green Bay Packers fans and many think the team will be more competitive than early projections.
Green Bay Packers quarterback showing “good signs”
Matt Schneidman has gotten to see Jordan Love’s development up close. Jordan Love will have ups and downs in his first year as a starter, but he has come a long way from when he was drafted. Schneidman believes that Jordan Love has shown great progress in his development. When McAfee asked if Jordan Love could be a real star, Schneidman shared his thoughts.
“This division stinks so it doesn’t really take much to win it. He’s showed some really great signs of progress in camp. He still hasn’t really come out of his shell entirely. Totally understandable because he’s replacing Aaron and he doesn’t want to overstep his boundry.”

Jordan Love is faced with the tall task of following not one, but two, Hall of Fame careers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks to ever step on the field, but at one point he too was tasked with filling the shoes of a legend.
“Aaron did not play well in his first year starting. He threw 13 inteceptions. That was the most he ever threw in a season in his career. The Packers went 6-10, so Jordan Love is in a very unenviable postion following Favre and Aaron, but he has looked good in camp.”

Matt Schenidman went on to say he thinks Jordan Love can be the guy, but only time will tell.
