The Green Bay Packers waived an injured center in order to make room for a cornerback the team signed Monday.
The Packers sustained several injuries in their preseason game against the New England Patriots Saturday night. Center Jake Hanson sustained a shin injury.

According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Packers wavied Hanson when they signed cornerback Elijah Hamilton.

This is a major move for the Packers offensive line. Hanson was packers backup center for Josh Meyers. James Empey is currently listed as the Packers third-string center.
