The Green Bay Packers venture into the unknown in 2023. The Jordan Love era begins and ultimately no one knows what is going to happen. I am a believer in Love but I’ll admit that he might be horrible. The sample size we have is too small to know exactly what will happen. On top of that, the defense is always a question mark under Joe Barry. One NFL analyst put out a column of his bold predictions for the year and has an insane one about the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers Finish With Second Worst Record

Adam Schein of NFL.com had nine bold predictions about the 2023 season and he predicts the Packers will end the season with the second-worst record in the league behind only the Arizona Cardinals. His reasoning is that the coaching staff has been preaching patience with Love meaning they believe there could be some struggles this year. Throw in a defense that could struggle despite the glut of talent and the Packers could be in trouble soon. What would the Packers do in this situation?

    2nd Overall Pick?

If the Packers got the second overall pick they would be left with an interesting decision. Quarterback Caleb Williams is no doubt going number one overall but he isn’t the only quarterback prospect in next year’s draft. Drake Maye out of North Carolina is highly touted along with a handful of others. If Love struggles, the Packers are in a position to cut bait without much financial loss thanks to his recent contract extension. They would then add a rookie quarterback to an already young team.

This is the beauty of this season. If the Packers are good and Love is amazing, great! We have the quarterback of the future. If he absolutely stinks, this year is rough but they have ammo in order to reload at the position. 2023 will be a fun year for the Green Bay Packers and no doubt this will not be the only bold prediction to drop about the team from analysts.
