The New York Giants have been without wide receivers Kadarius Toney, and Wan’Dale Robinson. Sterling Shepard is done for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury. In recent news wide receiver Kenny Golladay will be sidelined with a MCL sprain suffered last week.
The offense may only have three wideouts in Ritchie James who leads the team with 155 receiving yards. The other two receivers include David Sills and Darius Slayton who could be the main targets against the Packers. Saquon Barkley may very well be handed the ball throughout the majority of the game this Sunday. In Week 4, Barkley had 31 carries for 146 yards, and 2 receptions for 16 yards.

The Packers defense survived a 27-24 overtime victory against the New England Patriots. Outside linebacker Rashan Gary had a big game with 7 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Gary knocked out Patriots backup QB Brian Hoyer in the first quarter at Lambeau that put him out for the rest of the game. Rasul Douglas and Darnell Savage combined for 8 tackles, and two tackles for loss.
The Packers held the Patriots running game to 167 yards on the ground behind Rhamondre Stevenson, and Damien Harris. 3rd string quarterback Bailey Zappe went 10-15 for 99 yards and one touchdown. That touchdown pass was thrown to DeVante Parker, who had two receptions for 24 yards in the game. Green Bay’s defense currently ranks 6th in the league.
Green Bay will have to stiffen up their run defense against the Giants running back. In pass defense they are only allowing 168 yards per game through the air. Cornerback Jaire Alexander did not suit up against the Patriots. He may play or rest as the NY Giants will be without some playmakers on their offense. Packers safety Adrian Amos practiced on Thursday.

He was able to jump into the stands for his first Lambeau Leap as a Packer. Romeo Doubs helped score one touchdown with 5 catches for 46 yards. Doubs dropped a pass down the sideline that would have won the game in regulation.
The young guys have to bring those catches in as the season goes further. Tight end Robert Tonyan scored the final touchdown late in the 4th quarter that brought the game to overtime.
Blocking by the Packers offensive line will be crucial for the Green Bay offense coming into Week 5 to give Rodgers some extra pass protection. It will be interesting to see if the Packers do some shifting to the line this upcoming week. David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins were able to practice on Thursday before traveling to play the game in London.
The Green Packers will face the NY Giants on October 9th in London at 9:30 am ET. The game will be televised on The NFL Network.
