NBA news: At this point, there’s no denying that Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all time. He’s done enough in his career to earn this honorable title, and the fact of the matter is that he’s still far from done.

This is exactly why fans will be interested to know who the Golden State Warriors superstar considers to be his toughest defensive matchups in the NBA.

In a recent interview on the TODAY Show, Curry was asked to name the best defender he’s ever come up against throughout his iconic career. Instead of naming one, Steph had a list of three players. One of which was Milwaukee Bucks star Jrue Holiday:

“There’s a group of 3 that always a light bulb went off when they’re on the court. it’s Jrue Holiday, Tony Allen and Ron Artest,” Curry said.

Curry didn’t hesitate when he was asked the question, which leads you to believe that he’s given this a lot of thought. Tony Allen and Ron Artest, both of whom have already hung up their laces, are indeed two of the most elite defenders that have ever picked up a basketball. You can definitely count Jrue Holiday as part of that group, especially considering it’s none other than Steph Curry himself who’s dropped such high praise for the Bucks guard.

In the same way that Curry is the GOAT shooter, it’s also going to be hard to argue against the notion that Jrue Holiday is one of the best, if not the top two-way guards in the league today. He has the accolades to show for it too, being a two-time All-Star and a member of the All-Defensive Team no less than five times. Over the past three years, Holiday has ranked in the Top 10 in Defensive Player of the Year votes. In fact, you might go as far as saying that it’s a travesty that this man hasn’t been awarded a DPOY title in his career.

The Milwaukee Bucks have a real gem in Jrue Holiday, and he’s indeed an integral part of their group and their championship aspirations this season. Just ask Steph Curry.
