The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers are two of the Eastern Conferences two best teams. Over the past few seasons, both have been perennial NBA Championship contenders. However, the Bucks have been the only one of the two to actually achieve that ultimate goal.
Both teams, too, have perennial NBA MVP candidates in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid. Giannis won the award in back-to-back seasons in 2019 and 2020, and Embiid won the award this past season.
Indeed, Embiid has had a decorated career. He has been named an All-Star six times, is a two-time NBA scoring champion, and a one-time MVP (among other honors). However, that NBA title has eluded him, and if he can’t win one soon, he may decide to leave Philadelphia.
The Milwaukee Bucks Could Force Joel Embiid to Leave the Philadelphia 76ers

In a recent question-and-answer session, Embiid was asked about his desire to win a NBA Championship. His answer shocked many who heard it:
“I just want to win a championship, whatever it takes. I don’t know where that’s going to be, whether it’s in Philly or anywhere else.”
“Or anywhere” else indicates that if the 76ers are not able to win a championship within the next few years, Embiid will begin ring chasing.
Of course, Milwaukee could play a big role in whether or not Philadelphia wins a championship. The 76ers have been eliminated in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs three seasons in a row, which led the team to fire Doc Rivers as head coach.
To replace Rivers, the 76ers hired Nick Nurse, who won a title with the Toronto Raptors in 2019. If Nurse is unable to get Philadelphia to the Promised Land soon, he may lose his biggest star.
That would just be more of the same for Philly, who is currently shopping a very disgruntled James Harden. In the past, the 76ers have also been forced to part ways with stars like Jimmy Butler and Ben Simmons.
Perhaps the process should not have been trusted.
