NBA News: The Milwaukee Bucks and the rest of the NBA can officially focus on the 2023-24 NBA season. The Denver Nuggets beat the Miami Heat in five games to win their first championship in franchise history on Monday night. As teams start to focus on next year, trade rumors will be swirling all off-season. Many presumed championship-caliber teams may want to consider tweaking their roster to get an advantage going into next season. The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons were named in a trade that could do exactly that.
Milwaukee Bucks Land 2023 All-NBA Rookie In Proposed Trade With Detroit Pistons (NBA News)

An article by Max Griffith of Fansided prosed a trade that would land the Milwaukee Bucks a young star:
Detroit Pistons Receive:
- Grayson Allen
- Bobby Portis Jr
- 2027 Second-Round Draft Pick
Milwaukee Bucks Receive:
- Jalen Duren
- Alec Burks
- 2023 Second-Round Draft Pick
The Milwaukee Bucks and the Detroit Pistons are two teams that have not been shy with each other regarding trade talks over the year. With this trade, Milwaukee gets a solid backcourt option off the bench, the first pick of this year’s second round, and a special talent in Jalen Duren.
I don’t know how many people reading this have had the opportunity to see Jalen Duren play so far in his NBA career, but buying his stock right now would be very smart. Duren’s sheer strength and will on the inside can’t be taught. He is relentless on both ends. Alec Burks would also be a very good replacement for Grayson Allen.
It is not a huge upgrade defensively, but Burks has more of an all-around game than Allen. Acquiring Duren would also help add some much-needed youth to the league’s oldest team. Being able to retain Brook Lopez and letting Duren learn for him would be a huge benefit for Duren.
Arguably the best part about this hypothetical trade is that both teams benefit, and Detroit would seriously consider this trade if offered. The Pistons already have plenty of young players and picks, and acquiring Portis and Allen would help speed things up a little.
Not to mention that the hiring of Monty Williams suggests that perhaps Detroit is indeed trying to speed things up and make the playoffs as soon as possible.
Would The Milwaukee Bucks Move On From Bobby Portis Jr?

Milwaukee Bucks fans may hate the idea of moving on from fan favorite Bobby Portis. He has quickly become one of the most beloved athletes in Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin. However, gaining a 19-year-old 2023 All-NBA Rookie Second Team player in Jalen Duren may help ease the pain.
If the Milwaukee Bucks want to win another NBA Championship they are going to need strong production from Jrue Holiday, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Khris Middleton. They will also need strong support from other players on the roster, could this trade be enough for them to get back to the promised land?

Now we know why this guy is not a GM. Awful trade. Pistons laugh and hang up the phone.
The Pistons would not do this
That’s a horrible trade for Detroit. There’s no way Detroit trade duren for that kind of return
