The Milwaukee Bucks are still working on filling out their roster after the start of free agency. They were able to re-sign Khris Middleton to a three-year deal, Brook Lopez to a two-year deal, and Jae Crowder to a one-year deal. However, those contracts have put the Bucks over the cap and they now must get creative in order to obtain players to fill out their roster.
While they are able to offer free agents veteran minimum contracts, Milwaukee is rumored to be active in trade talks for various high-profile players. One of the players often named in these trade rumors is Bobby Portis.
On Sunday, Portis took to social media to let everyone know what he thought about these rumors.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Bobby Portis Calls Sources Naming Him in Possible Trades “Trash”
Below are some examples of the accounts indicating that Portis is named in various trade discussions around the NBA:
Talks between Utah and Milwaukee remain constant but currently at a standstill because of:
– Damian Lillard delaying his options.
– Utah want Bobby Portis in return for any deal with Collin Sexton. At this stage, Milwaukee feels reluctant to include Portis in the deal.

Bucks are working on something with either Grayson Allen or Bobby Portis Jr being involved. Will be interesting to see what exactly comes out of the summer relating to the both of them. Those two are the Bucks most notable tradable players.
Only move them for a roster upgrade.

Depending upon what happens in Portland, the Nets should be calling to see the value of Anfernee Simons.
They should also check in on Bobby Portis now that Brook Lopez returned to Milwaukee and that roster has become very expensive.

Not exactly NBA insiders, are they? Well, the fact of the matter is that Bobby Portis is the Bucks’ most valuable tradable player. However, Portis had something to say for anyone naming him in possible trade scenarios:
All y’all sources trash! Lol

Well, there you have it. The Bucks are not trading Bobby Portis. Not that they would need to inform him if they were exploring a trade, but in today’s NBA, it is hard to keep that kind of thing hidden. If Milwaukee was shopping Portis, he would know.
And it is a good thing the Bucks are planning on keeping him. Last season, Portis was a finalist for the Sixth Man of the Year averaging 14.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. If Milwaukee is looking to upgrade their bench, the last thing they should do is trade away one of the best bench players in the NBA and their only backup center under contract.
Bobby Portis is staying in Milwaukee. Where he belongs.
