NBA News: Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat have been in the NBA Finals twice in the past three years. Unfortunately for them, they lost on both occasions. They fell short against the Los Angeles Lakers in the bubble in 2020, and again, they were outplayed by Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets just this past season.
All this heartbreak has only made Butler even more adamant that an NBA title is still on the horizon for him and the Heat. At this point, it is abundantly clear that Jimmy Buckets is going to be back with a vengeance in 2023-24.
NBA News: Jimmy Butler Remains Hungry For Elusive Championship
If anything, Jimmy Butler is now even hungrier to win his first-ever title. He’s come extremely close twice now, so you just know that this man will do everything in his power to make sure that he’s finally able to reach his ultimate objective.
Butler’s championship declaration should put the rest of the NBA on notice:
“It’s always the same expectation. I have to be able to get us over the hump to win a championship,” Butler said. “I know that the group of guys that are always placed around myself is capable of it. Maybe we all gotta do a little bit more but a championship is coming to the future of Miami.”
🔥Jimmy #Butler on his offseason plans:
“It’s the same, get better at every aspect of the game. Play so many other sports, (such) as tennis or baseball, or soccer. Just to get your condition and levels up.”#NBA @vicecityalerts @espnnba @TheNBACentral @HeatvsHaters @hothothoops pic.twitter.com/sLs1UBp6UG

This would have sounded like an overbearing statement from someone else, but you have to remember that this is Jimmy Butler we’re talking about here.
NBA News: Jimmy Butler And Co. Will Need To Go Through Bucks
Apart from the likes of the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, the one team Miami will likely need to go through this coming season if they want to win a title would be the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmo and Co. remember last season extremely well, and they will have their heartbreaking first-round elimination at the hands of Miami in mind when they face off again this coming year — be it in the regular season or in the playoffs. As they always say, revenge is a dish best served cold.
