The Milwaukee Brewers have been reportedly on the look for another bat prior to the trade deadline. One MLB insider recently linked the Brew Crew to a former division rival outfielder who currently plays for the New York Mets. This right-handed hitter began his big league career with the St. Louis Cardinals, but has also played for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Paders, Cincinnati Reds, and Boston Red Sox.
New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham linked to Milwaukee Brewers by MLB Insider.
In a recent publication by Robert Murray of Fansided, he listed Tommy Pham as a target that could make sense for the Milwaukee Brewers. They also have been linked together in the past.
The Milwaukee Brewers continue to look for another bat, as Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported, and one player who could make sense is Mets outfielder Tommy Pham.
Pham, 35, is a player that the Brewers have expressed interest in the past. He’s hitting .268/.348/.472 with 10 home runs and 36 RBI and is also slashing .305/.362/.638 with eight home runs and 19 RBI in 29 career games at American Family Field.
The Brewers have also been reportedly expressing interest in Mets outfielder Mark Canha. Both are rental players with the exception that Canha has a 2024 club option. Both hit left-handed pitchers well, which is an area that Milwaukee has struggled in.
It will be interesting to see if the Brewers and Mets team up to get a deal done or not.
