MLB News: In 2016 the Milwaukee Brewers selected a college bat out of Clemson University in the 17th round and 501st overall. He would go on to play in the Brew Crews minor league organization until 2022 in which he then elected free agency and signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.
That now 28 year old right handed utility player has gone on to make his major league debut with the Phillies and he had a very memorable first major league at-bat.
Former Milwaukee Brewers prospect Weston Wilson hits a home run in his first major league at bat with the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB News).
Batting seventh against the Washington Nationals Weston Wilson launched a home run into left center field during his first major league at-bat. The long ball came on the third pitch of the at-bat and came against left-handed pitcher Mackenzie Gore.
This moment was a long time coming for the 28 year old rookie. He accumulated 2503 minor league at-bats and prior to this year his career high in home runs was 19. With the Lehigh Valley IronPigs he had 25 home runs prior to his big league call up and it appears that he is picking up right where he left off.

This is certainly a cool moment for Weston Wilson and is something that he will remember for the rest of his life.
