The Milwaukee Bucks roster for the 2023-24 season is beginning to take shape.

Following an early summer of coaching staff reshuffling and conclusion of the 2023 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks’ front office still have a number of big decisions to make heading into the meat of the summer off-season.

Here’s a full breakdown of where the Bucks stand in terms of currently contracted players, pending free agents, and tonight’s draft picks:

    Contracts (2023 Salaries):

    • Giannis Antetokounmpo – $45.6 million
    • Jrue Holiday – $36.8 million
    • Bobby Portis – $11.7 million
    • Grayson Allen – $8.9 million
    • MarJon Beauchamp – $2.6 million
    • Jevon Carter – $2.2 million

Cap Holds (Expiring Contracts, Trade Exceptions):

    • Khris Middleton – $42.5 million
    • Brook Lopez – $20.8 million
    • Jae Crowder – $19.3 million
    • Joe Ingles – $7.7 million
    • Thanasis Antetokounmpo – $2.2 million
    • Goran Dragic – $2.01 million
    • Meyers Leonard – $2.01 million
    • Wesley Matthews – $2.01 million
    • Jeff Teague – $2.01 million
    • AJ Green – $1.8 million

    Unsigned Draft Picks:

    • Andre Jackson Jr. (UConn) – 36th overall
    • Chris Livingston (Kentucky) – 58th overall
    • Omari Moore (San Jose State) – Undrafted Signing (terms TBA)

    Total Cap Projections:

    • Active Roster Cap – $117.41 million
    • Cap Holds – $107.94 million
    • Total Cap Allocations – $225.35 million
    • Current Cap Space: -$89.35 million

It’s no secret that the Bucks are in quite the sticky spot when it comes to cap space. However, due to the NBA’s rules, clubs are allowed to exceed the salary cap to maintain their own pending free agents. Those rules are good news for Bucks fans that want to see Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez back on the court alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo for 2023 and beyond.
