MarJon Beauchamp has shown glimpses of stardom for the Bucks so far this season, where we have seen games of multiple threes and athletic plays on both ends of the floor. The Milwaukee Bucks took Beauchamp in the first round last summer for a reason as the team has plans for him now and in the long-term.
Beauchamp has the occasional game where he will play 20 to 25 minutes. But, it is time for the Bucks to start preparing the rookie for his most important task this season. That task will be using his size and athleticism to guard some of the Eastern Conference’s most elite wings come playoff time.
Bucks Rookies Are Cracking the Rotation At Times
The Bucks have their typical rotation without Khris Middleton right now with Giannis, Jrue, Brook, Bobby, Grayson, Jevon, and Pat operating as their top seven guys. But, the eighth player seems to vary on any given night.
Throwing Beauchamp in the fire is exactly what this team needs to do by continuing to give him as much playing time as possible for him to develop his skills. As the Bucks do have a dominate team that can afford to give a young player like Beauchamp opportunity with not affecting the win-loss column in a negative way.
By implementing this, Beauchamp can continue to grow his game by hitting open threes and using his elite athletic ability to make energy plays for this team. The rookie does possess many incredible traits that the team’s other role players do not necessarily possess.
Conclusion
With the preparation beginning now it will only enhance his readiness when he comes in to guard a Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum down the road. Beauchamp will hopefully continue to grow his game into becoming a top option for the Bucks once some of their top players age a bit. But, right now the focus needs to be getting him prepared to be a huge presence when the Fiserv Forum is rocking come spring time. The Marjon Beauchamp experience begins soon.
