There was some optimism surrounding Indiana Pacers guard Bruce Brown’s injury status for Monday’s highly-anticipated matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 27-year-old has missed his team’s last four games due to a lingering knee injury, but the fact that he was initially listed as doubtful to play against Milwaukee on New Year’s Day meant that there was a slight chance that he would be able to return.
The Pacers have confirmed Brown’s status less than an hour before tip-off, and Indiana supporters won’t be too happy about it.
Bruce Brown’s Final Designation Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Unfortunately for Brown, he will need to sit out at least one more game as he continues to recover from injury. This is after the team confirmed that he will be out against the Bucks with a bone bruise in his right knee.

Brown isn’t exactly a star (although Indiana paid big money to recruit him in free agency last summer), but he’s still going to be a significant loss for the team when they try and get some revenge on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co.
In 27 starts this season, the 6-foot-4 guard/forward is averaging 11.6 points on 45.7 percent shooting, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in 30.7 minutes per contest.
MarJon Beauchamp Ruled Out Vs. Pacers
The Bucks will also be without one rotation player on Monday. Second-year forward MarJon Beauchamp has been ruled out due to a non-COVID illness and will be unavailable to play against Indiana.
Beachamp has been averaging 15.1 minutes per game this season, so the Bucks will likely take a committee approach to fill the void the 23-year-old will leave with his absence.
