The Milwaukee Bucks made the decision to part ways with head coach Mike Budenholzer on Thursday. His firing ends a five-year run in Milwaukee that saw Coach Bud lead the Bucks to their first championship in 50 years. Additionally, he helped revitalize Brook Lopez’s career and helped Giannis Antetokounmpo reach MVP form. Under his leadership, Milwaukee won 51 or more games four times. The only season in which they did not was the 2019-2020, which was cut short by COVID-19. That year, the Bucks finished the season 46-26.
Unfortunately, all of Bud’s regular season success failed to translate to the postseason in every season except one. His failure to make in-game and game-to-game adjustments frustrated fans for most of his tenure and. ultimately, led to the Bucks’ latest playoff disappointment. When the head coaching position now vacant, many fans are clamoring for a coach who bested Budenholzer and the Bucks in the playoffs.

I understand why they did it, but if they don’t snag Nick Nurse, I’m not sure if there is another real upgrade on the coaching market right now https://t.co/gjgKAmND3k

Thank you, Coach Bud. You are always a Champion.

Not every coach is perfect but I honestly think Coach Bud is ideal for what the Raptors need right now and Nick Nurse is ideal for what the Bucks need right now.
A swap would be funny but also would make tons of sense

Nick Nurse Coaching Career
NIck Nurse was recently fired as the head coach of the Toronto Raptors after the team failed to make the NBA Playoffs for the second time in five seasons. He won a NBA title in his first season with the team and was named NBA Coach of the Year in his second season.
In five years with the Raptors, Nurse had a 380-227 record (.582). Aside from the year Toronto won the title, they made the playoffs twice and only advanced past the first round once.
Prior to being named head coach, Nurse was an assistant coach under Dwayne Casey. When the Raptors fired Casey following a second-round sweep at the hands of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Nurse was hired as his replacement.
