It comes as no surprise that more than a few Milwaukee Bucks fans have been campaigning for the return of Patrick Beverley this coming season. The 36-year-old is no superstar, but there’s no denying that he brings so much to the table for the squad both on and off the court.
Unfortunately, it appears that Beverley may be on his way out. This is after a report surfaced about the three-time All-Defensive guard considering a massive offer from another team.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Patrick Beverley on His Way Out?
It was Beverley’s own podcast, the Pat Bev Pod, that reported on this recent development via X, formerly Twitter. Apparently, the 36-year-old could be on his way out of the NBA altogether amid a substantial offer from an undisclosed European team:
“DEVELOPING: @patbev21 is currently weighing his options between a NBA Vet Minimum contract and a HISTORIC contract in Europe,” read the report.
The details of the supposed contract abroad were not disclosed, but the fact that the word “historic” was used means that this has to be a major offer.
It would not hurt to take this news with a grain of salt, though. After all, this report pretty much came from Beverley himself.
Given how players and teams have operated in NBA free agency of late, it would not be a complete shock if this was an attempt to potentially drum up interest in Beverly from teams around the league — including the Bucks.
Then again, you also have to note that the 6-foot-2 combo guard also started off his professional career in Europe, so playing abroad is not new for him.
