You just knew that things were going to be chippy in Game 1 between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night. True enough, a red-hot Damian Lillard got himself in a bit of trouble with Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard at one point in the third quarter.
Tempers flared as the pair got tangled up, and it resulted in a heated altercation between them.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Damian Lillard Gets Into It With Andrew Nembhard
It appears that Lillard did not appreciate Nembhard’s antics during a bit of a shoving match as a timeout was called. Dame reacted by getting in the Nembhard’s face:

Nembhard is a no-nonsense type of fellow, and he just wasn’t going to back down:

The incident was reviewed by the referees, and it resulted in technical fouls for both players.
To be fair, the pair seems to have settled their issue after the timeout. Two refs were standing between Lillard and Nembhard as they both explained their actions. All’s well that ends well?
Nembhard and the Pacers have been doing everything they can to hold Lillard down amid the eight-time All-Star’s offensive explosion in Game 1. To be fair, Indiana has succeeded in this regard as they’ve kept Lillard scoreless in the second half.
However, Dame’s 35-point outburst in the first two quarters of action appears to be enough to lead the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Bucks to a massive Game 1 win over their fierce rivals.
