It was Damian Lillard who stole the show for a Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks side in Game 1 of their first-round clash against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night. However, Bucks center Brook Lopez just had to make sure that he would make headlines as well as he turned back the clock in what was a truly jaw-dropping poster slam all over Pacers swingman Aaron Nesmith.
It’s not every day that Lopez throws it down like this, so this moment is definitely newsworthy.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Brook Lopez Destroys Pacers’ Aaron Nesmith
The game was already won with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The Bucks had full control throughout the game, and they entered the final couple of minutes with a commanding 17-point lead.
Lopez, however, had one final trick up his sleeve:

Perhaps the most amazing part of this poster slam is not how Nesmith dropped to the floor after being so viciously dunked on (he was trying to get a charge). However, it has to be Lopez taking off from way outside the no-charge zone.
I honestly did not think the 36-year-old still had that much hops under him. That’s wild.
NBA Twitter Goes Crazy
Unsurprisingly, Lopez’s insane dunk had NBA Twitter buzzing hard:
Game had 2 mins left 😭no need to embarrass a nobody 😭😭

There’s a whole lot more where that came from, but you get the point, right?
Apart from his poster dunk, Lopez also finished the win with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in 32 minutes of action.
Milwaukee made easy work of Indiana in Game 1, 109-94.
