Without a doubt, former Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday has been a boon for the Boston Celtics during the playoffs this year. And similar to what NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins said about him, All-Star wing Jaylen Brown thought the veteran’s run with the team has been excellent so far.
Holiday’s career began in 2009 when he was selected as the 17th pick by the Philadelphia 76ers. Over the course of 11 years, the guard established himself as a formidable two-way player, showcasing his skills with both the Sixers and the New Orleans Pelicans. Throughout his career, he maintained impressive averages of 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. However, in 2013, he was traded to the Pelicans in a deal involving Nerlens Noel and a 2014 first-round draft pick.
In 2020, Holiday found himself on the move once again, this time landing with the Milwaukee Bucks in a multi-team trade. His arrival proved to be the missing puzzle piece for the Bucks, as he played a pivotal role in helping All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo secure his first NBA championship.
Presently, Holiday is making his mark with the Boston Celtics in the playoffs, showcasing his abilities as a game-changer. Throughout the NBA Finals, he has emerged as a key component in Beantown’s success, playing a crucial role in their victories in the first two games of the series.
Boston Celtics Star Jaylen Brown Drops Massive Praise For Former Milwaukee Bucks Guard Jrue Holiday
Two games into the NBA Finals and Holiday has emerged as the key piece that’s fueling Boston’s run. In a video shared by Daniel Donabedian on X, Brown reiterates that claim by praising the former Bucks guard.

Throughout the playoffs this year, Holiday has averaged 13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He’s also shooting 51 percent from the field, 40 percent from deep, and 95 percent from the free throw line.
If Holiday keeps this up, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum may soon win their first ring together. With how the former Bucks guard has been playing, it’s no surprise to see him excel in the Finals.
