The Milwaukee Bucks defense has had no answer for New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson all season long. Milwaukee has faced New York five times this season. The Bucks lost on Sunday night against the Knicks by a final score of 122-109.
With the loss, Milwaukee has lost four straight games and dropped to 47-31 on the season. With the win for New York, they improved to 46-32 on the year and they have the same record as the Orlando Magic this season. In the latest game against the Milwaukee Bucks for Jalen Brunson, he scored 43 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded eight assists.
Bucks point guard Damian Lillard spoke to the media after the game about the way Brunson performed against them. Lillard said:
“I mean first of all, he’s one of the best players in the league.”
In this matchup, he shot 50.0% from the field for the Knicks. This was not the only time this season that Brunson has torched the Bucks.
The Milwaukee Bucks Can Not Guard New York Knicks Jalen Brunson and the Stats Show It
There are some stats that show what Brunson did against the Bucks this season is nothing but remarkable.
Jalen Brunson’s 5 games vs MIL this year:
45 Points on 17/30 (56.7%)
24 Points on 10/22 (45.5%)
36 Points on 15/26 (57.7%)
38 Points on 15/28 (53.6%)
43 Points on 16/32 (50.0%)Averaging 37.2 PPG on 52.2%. Insane. pic.twitter.com/tQd06S9cIP

The fact that he shot over 50 percent in four of those five games and shot over 40 percent from the field in all five games is insanity. It isn’t out of the question that the Knicks and the Bucks can meet again in the NBA playoffs this season.
If the Bucks want to beat the Knicks in a playoff series, they can let Brunson get his points, but they can’t let other star players get going. One of those examples would be Knicks shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo. DiVincenzo scored 26 points and made 8-of-11 threes for the Knicks, which helped Brunson and the New York Knicks out against the Bucks.
Milwaukee is going to have its hands full once again if they do face Brunson and the Knicks in the NBA Playoffs. They are in the two seed at the moment in the Eastern Conference, but New York and also the Orlando Magic are trying to catch the two seed in the NBA playoffs as well because Brunson is one of the most underrated point guards in the entire NBA,
