The Milwaukee Bucks will have another road contest on Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns. Milwaukee has not been playing well as of late and they have key injuries for Tuesday night against Phoenix. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Brook Lopez all may not play for the Bucks against the Suns due to injury.
It would be a huge blow to them if they were not playing. The Suns are relatively healthy and Kevin Durant. Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have been starting to get on a roll for Phoenix. At the moment, the Bucks are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-17 record and the Suns are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 29-21 record.
The Doc Rivers era is not off to a hot start for the Milwaukee Bucks and this is a game they need to win if everyone is in the lineup. The Phoenix Suns were considered an NBA title contender entering this season and these two teams met in the 2021 NBA Finals.
The Milwaukee Bucks Need to Beat the Phoenix Suns Because the Cleveland Cavaliers Have Surpassed Them For the Number Two Seed In the Eastern Conference
Milwaukee was comfortable in the two spot for quite a while in the Eastern Conference, but the Cleveland Cavaliers surpassed them in the NBA Standings when they took down the Sacramento Kings 136-110 on Monday night. The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently leading the Bucks over the Central Division.
With the win, Cleveland is 14-1 in their last 15 games and they have a 32-16 record on the year. The Cavaliers are the number two seed in the Eastern Conference and they did beat the Milwaukee Bucks twice in that span. Milwaukee needs a win in this game against the Phoenix Suns to try and get back into the number two seed.
If the Bucks were to lose against the Suns on Tuesday night and if the New York Knicks were to beat the Memphis Grizzlies, New York and Milwaukee would be tied for the third seed with a 33-18 record. The Knicks are another team in the Eastern Conference that is surging.
If the Bucks fell into the fourth spot, the current one seed in the Eastern Conference is the Boston Celtics with a 38-12 record. This is a game that the key players need to play in. After blowing a lead the other night to the Utah Jazz, the Milwaukee Bucks need to win this game as long as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Brook Lopez are available to them.
