Monday’s night matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards was a close game. This was the case until the fourth quarter started, though, as the Bucks flexed their muscles all over their opponents in the final frame.
Milwaukee entered the fourth with just a two-point advantage. They poured it on in the final period, though, outscoring the Wizards by 11 points, en route to a 142-129 victory.
Khris Middleton Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks’ Fourth Quarter Taekover
Khris Middleton had one of his best games of the season on Monday night, finishing with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, and seven assists in a season-high 23 minutes of play.
After the game, Middleton sounded off on the Bucks once again taking over the game in the fourth quarter:
“We just gotta play our best basketball,” Middleton said. “I though we had too many lapses, not finishing quarters strong. But when we play our best basketball like we have been in the fourth quarter, we’ve been pretty good. We just gotta figure out a way to do that for the whole game.”

Middleton hit the nail on the head here. The Wizards did an excellent job of keeping this game close throughout as they did all they could to defend their home court. The Bucks took it to another level in the fourth quarter, though, and they made sure they were going to come out of this contest with their fifth straight win.
As Middleton implied, however, Milwaukee can’t rely on this tactic every single game. They have to be more consistent throughout all four quarters. Failing to do so could eventually lead to disastrous results for them.
