Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is set to put pen to paper on a massive $186 million max extension with the Milwaukee Bucks.
He did it. He finally did it.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks Extension
So much has happened since Giannis declared his intention to leave the Bucks if his championship objectives no longer aligned with those of the team. The front office responded in the best possible way by bringing in seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard as Giannis’ new partner-in-crime.
While it may have taken some time before Antetokounmpo repaid Milwaukee’s loyalty to him, the fact of the matter is the former back-to-back MVP has now signed his future to the Bucks. At the end of the day, this is all that matters.
Giannis himself took to Twitter shortly after the news of his extension broke. It’s safe to say that he’s pretty excited about this development:

Naturally, Giannis just had to post a photo of himself holding the 2021 NBA championship trophy. This is the exact message he wanted to send as he looks to lead the Bucks to another title this season.
You have to note that Antetokounmpo took a considerable pay cut here by deciding to sign his extension this summer. Giannis could have waited another year, which would have resulted in a record-breaking deal for the Bucks talisman.
However, what is clear is that the former Defensive Player of the Year also wanted to send a message here. The Bucks did everything they could to make sure that Giannis would be in the best position to win a championship, which is exactly what Antetokounmpo asked for.
Giannis has now held up his part of the bargain by erasing any and all doubt about his future in Milwaukee. To anyone out there who was hoping that this was going to be the case, I’m sorry to say that you have been left bitterly disappointed.
