The Milwaukee Bucks play the Detroit Pistons for a second time in three nights on Monday. It’s the Bucks who came out on top on Saturday, 141-135, as they handed the Pistons their second straight loss and their 38th defeat overall.
The Bucks have now submitted their injury report for Monday’s rematch and it’s a bit concerning that former back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has popped up on the list with a shoulder problem.
Milwaukee Bucks List Giannis Antetokounmpo on Injury Report Vs. Pistons
This injury is not a new one for the Bucks talisman. In fact, it’s the same problem that forced Giannis to miss Wednesday’s blowout loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Antetokounmpo was also listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday’s contest in Detroit, but he was able to play through the pain.
Right now, Giannis is considered probable to play on Monday with a right shoulder contusion:
The Bucks have submitted an injury report for Monday's game vs. the Pistons in Detroit. Same as Saturday’s.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – probable (right shoulder contusion)
Chris Livingston – out (G-League assignment)
TyTy Washington Jr. – out (two-way)— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) January 21, 2024
Given that this was the same case for him heading into Saturday’s game, it seems likely that Antetokounmpo will be available again on Monday night.
For what it’s worth, Giannis looked great on Saturday against the Pistons, finishing with 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting, to go along with 10 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and a block in 38 minutes of action.
The Bucks should provide final confirmation on Antetokounmpo’s status ahead of Monday’s tip-off and we will be sure to pass along any information as they come.

What’s a shoulder contusion? Probably a rotator tear
