Just a few months ago, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo welcomed his third child into the world with his fiance, Maria Riddlesprigger. The big difference this time around is that the Antetokounmpo’s are now caring for a baby girl.
Eva Brooke Antetokounmpo is Giannis and Mariah’s first daughter, following the birth of their two sons, Maverick and Liam.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Girl Dad Admission
In a recent interview, Giannis revealed what life has been like since he became a girl dad. According to the former back-to-back MVP, he’s discovered a never-before-seen layer of love and affection for his baby girl:
“I’m way more attached to my daughter,” he said. “Way, way, way more attached. I love my boys, too. It’s different dynamics with my boys. I can play sports together. We wrestle together and stuff like that. It’s different when you are with your daughter. I’m definitely more attached, more kissy.
“Mariah keeps telling me, ‘Stop kissing her! Stop kissing her! You’re giving her germs.’ Like, I don’t care. That’s my little girl.”
Giannis isn’t saying that he loves his daughter more. I guess it’s just that he has a different type of affection for her — something that perhaps only girl dads can appreciate and understand.
Giannis also admitted that having a daughter has made him a bit soft. In fact, Antetokounmpo is now wary of his baby girl impacting the way he plays on the basketball court:
“It kinda made me a little bit more sensitive, more softer because I grew up around boys,” Giannis continued. “I have four brothers, then I had two sons. I grew up always around boys. So it brings a different side out of me that I’ve never seen before. Hopefully, I’m not too soft for the games.
“But, ay, I love it. I love it. I hope she’s happy, she grows up, she’s healthy, and all her dreams come to reality.”
